Road Back From Calgary Nov. 2025
After a great workshop in Calgary, I drifted through the Rockies, Valemount, Monashees and the Thompson Nicola for four day plein air painting tour. I was inspired by the participants at the ‘Power In The Landscape ‘ ‘Leading Edge Workshop’ Nestled in SE Calgary foothills - a beautiful venue and location. They were committed, dedicated and I’d love to work with them again. I’ll never tire of my well travelled route home and possibly do gigs in Calgary with this in mind. In any event the trip never disappoints. Winter was on my heels as temps dropped and snow came and went. That’s just how I like it. Drama comes from adversity and makes for a better story - a better picture. After days in the mountains the Nicola Valley was a different world. The suede carpet landscape with painted patch work of bright green and gold from years of ranching and farming got a painter going. I got home just before the high pass got winter mean….there is a God.
